SACRAMENTO, CA – In light of continued events against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, the California Community College Trustees (CCCT) Board and the Chief Executive Officers of California Community Colleges (CEOCCC) Board adopted a joint resolution condemning the surge in hate crimes targeting Asian Americans at its April joint board meeting. The CCCT and CEOCCC’s joint resolution affirms the League's commitment to supporting AAPI students, faculty, staff, and administrators at California’s community colleges.

SACRAMENTO, CA – On Monday, May 10th, community college trustees from across the state convened for the California Community College Trustees (CCCT) Annual Business Meeting hosted by the Community College League of California. This is the second year the annual meeting was held virtually due to the state’s current health and safety restrictions. The annual meeting included the election of the 2021-22 CCCT Board Officers.

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Council of Chief Librarians and the Community College League of California (League) are working together to secure diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) focused library resources to benefit community colleges across the state. The funding would be used to obtain DEI focused library resources for the state’s 2.1 million students throughout the California Community College system. California Community Colleges serve a diverse population of races and ethnicities, and library resources should reflect those diverse populations to support equity and inclusion goals.
