California Community College Trustees (CCCT) Board
The California Community College Trustees (CCCT) Board consists of 21 members elected statewide by the 73 district governing boards and a student-member elected by the student trustees. The CCCT Board takes positions on and formulates education policy issues that come before the California Community Colleges Board of Governors, the State Legislature, and other relevant state-level boards and commissions. This policy board provides input to the League Board to advance the mission and effectively serve the organization's member colleges.
CCCT Student Trustee Election 2023
Congratulations to Nicole Nguyen from Foothill-De Anza CCD on her election as the student member on the trustee board! Nguyen, who is studying sociology at Foothill College is actively involved in the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC) and the Associated Students of Foothill College. She also proudly stands as the founding president of Foothill's Vietnamese Student Association. Nguyen is actively researching how educational institutions can disrupt systems of oppression, focusing on the analysis of curriculum, structures, and academic policies. Driven by her passion for promoting equitable and inclusive educational environments, she's committed to creating an understanding of how institutions of learning can foster conditions that allow for all students to flourish regardless of their backgrounds.
