The League's Annual Legislative Conference provides an opportunity for California Community College advocates to connect and meet with members of the State Legislature at the start of the advocacy season. Every year, this conference features high-level discussions surrounding hot-topic legislative issues, providing a unique chance for colleges and districts to engage with issue-area experts and state policymakers.

This year's theme is A Renewed Commitment to Equity


NOTE: This conference is held in conjunction with the Effective Trusteeship and Board Chair Workshops, January 27-29, 2023. Separate registration is required.

Who Should Attend
Who Should Attend

California Community College administrators, staff, faculty, and students who are interested in advocating for state dollars and legislation that impacts their college or district at the state level should consider attending the League's Annual Legislative Conference. In particular, we invite trustees, CEOs, PIOs, Government Relations Liaisons, and student leaders to attend.

The conference offers attendees the following:

  • An overview of important state and federal legislation and policy initiatives
  • The opportunity to shape statewide policies and federal advocacy agenda
  • Sessions with key members of the California State Legislature and staff

Full Conference - $690

Advocacy Team - $565
To encourage advocacy among our colleges, we offer a discounted rate of $565 per person for teams of five (5) or more. Examples of Advocacy Teams include a trustee, faculty member, administrator, classified member, and a student from the same college OR any combination of participants from the same college. Registration must be completed for each individual on the same day.

Student/Large Advocacy Team - $490
For students or teams of 15 or more, we offer a discounted rate of $490 per person. To qualify, each team must be from the same college. Registration must be completed for each individual on the same day.

Sunday, January 29 (One-day registration) - $425

Monday, January 30 (One-day registration) - $415

  • Sunday Reception - $90
  • Monday Breakfast - $75

NOTE: Do not purchase guest meal tickets for yourself if you are registered for the full conference or daily rate as meals are included with your registration.

Registration Cancellation Policy
All refund requests must be made in writing. To request a refund for your registration, email Sadie Brown at sadie@ccleague.org. A $50 processing fee will be charged for all refunds, per registrant. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after Friday, January 13, 2023.

Payment Policy
Full payment for conference registrations and memberships is due by credit card at the time of registration. Payment via check will not be an available option.

Transportation Service
