2019 CEO Leadership Academy

Fri, Jun 7, 2019 to Sun, Jun 9, 2019
Granlibakken, Tahoe City
General Info

General Info

The CEO Leadership Academy is designed specifically to address the unique challenges and opportunities confronted by leaders of California Community Colleges while creating a professional cohort through building relationships with colleagues that will prove beneficial for years to come. This is the only professional development training for California Community College CEOs by California Community College CEOs.

Research demonstrates that districts and colleges led by CEOs with tenures closer to 10-years rather than the mean 7.1 years stated in the League’s 2018 CEO Tenure and Retention Study, tend to have better student outcomes and enhanced institutional stability. Professional development and support for California’s campus leaders is a critical investment in the future of our institutions.

Who Should Attend

Who Should Attend

Beginning this summer, the CEO Leadership Academy will be open to all California CEOs. Whether you are a new Campus President or Chancellor, a Chancellor with new Campus Presidents, or a President/Superintendent in your fifth, seventh, or 15th year at the helm, the League’s CEO Leadership Academy is for you.  We encourage you to attend the CEO Leadership Academy, June 7-9, 2019.

Participation in the CEO Leadership Academy will increase understanding of your own approach to leadership while gaining practical knowledge in Board/CEO relations, finance/enrollment management, resource development/fundraising, and issues critical to success.

For questions about the program contact Carmen Sandoval, Director of Education Services & Leadership Development, at csandoval@ccleague.org.
