The new student trustee faces a challenging introduction to the board, the college and the art of trusteeship. This workshop is designed to help student board members become knowledgeable about their roles as leaders who represent the student voice in supporting current community needs and anticipating future educational trends. It also provides the opportunity to meet and talk with other student trustees from around the state.

Student Trustees at California Community Colleges should consider attending the 2023 Student Trustees Workshop. For questions about the program contact Carmen Sandoval, Senior Director of Education Services & Leadership Development, at csandoval@ccleague.org.

To receive a Certificate of Completion, attendees must be present for the entire workshop.


Please note this event will be held in person and registration will open on May 31, 2023. Deadline to Register: July 21, 2023, or when space fills

Registration Fee: $600
The registration fee includes all conference sessions, materials, and meals.

Registration Cancellation Policy
All refund requests must be made in writing. To request a refund for your registration, email Sadie Brown at sadie@ccleague.org. A $50 processing fee will be charged for all refunds, per registrant. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after registration closes on Friday, July 21, 2023. 

Payment Policy
Full payment for conference registrations and memberships are due by credit card at the time of registration. Payment via check will not be an available option. If you have any questions, please contact Sadie Brown at sadie@ccleague.org.

The official hotel of the 2023 Student Trustees Workshop is the Mission Inn Riverside

Room rates for this event are $95 per night plus room tax for single or double occupancy. This special rate is guaranteed only if reservations are made on or prior to Thursday, July 13, 2023, or until the room block sells out. The reservation link is included in the registration confirmation email.

  • Overnight self-parking: $17 per night
  • Valet parking: $23 per night
