Election
2022 CCCT Student Board Member Election

The California Community College Trustees (CCCT) Board consists of 21 members elected statewide by the 73 district governing boards and one student member elected by the student trustees. The CCCT Board takes positions on education policy issues and formulates positions on issues that go before the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and the State Legislature. Nomination information will be emailed to member districts by Sunday, June 5th. Nominations will be accepted via the League’s website and due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8th.

At the April 8th CCCT Board meeting, the board voted to move to electronic elections for the Student Trustee Member of the Board. Each member board student trustee may cast one vote and shall be emailed a list of candidates and the official Statement of Candidacy and Biographical Sketch Forms, as well as any submitted video statements 30 days prior to the Student Trustees Workshop. Ballots will be accepted through an online ballot platform and must be submitted by the Monday prior to the first day of the Workshop (Monday, August 8th). The ballots cast will be automatically counted by an online ballot platform and the results announced at the 2022 Student Trustees Workshop.

If you have any questions about the CCCT student member election process, contact Agnes Lupa at (916) 444-8641 or agnes@ccleague.org.
