We invite you to attend the 30th Annual Classified Leadership Institute at the Riverside Convention Center. In partnership with the California Community Colleges Classified Senate (4CS), the annual institute focuses on leadership training, professional development, and effective staff participation in the participatory governance process, both at the local and statewide levels.

Registration Rates

4CS President's Retreat - $50
Tuesday, June 7, 2022, 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Classified Senate Presidents (current and president-elect) are invited to an afternoon of dialogue, brainstorming, and leadership training at the annual 4CS President's Retreat as a pre-conference to the Classified Leadership Institute event. This event replaces the President's Breakfast at CLI. Your attendance at CLI is not required to register. You may register for either events or just one. The $50 cost includes lunch.

NOTE: Registration for the 4CS President's Retreat will remain open through May 27, 2022. Email Sadie Brown at sadie@ccleague.org for the registration link.

This fee includes all conference sessions, materials, and meals.

Hotel Info

The Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center, located at 3400 Market Street, Riverside, California 92501, is the official conference hotel.

A special contracted room rate of $135/per night has been reserved for conference attendees. This includes complimentary basic internet and $8 discount parking. A link to make a hotel reservation at the contracted room rate will be sent to registered attendees in their registration confirmation email. If you do not receive a registration confirmation email or the link, contact Sadie Brown at sadie@ccleague.org.

The Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center is located in the heart of historic downtown Riverside nestled in the Inland Empire. The hotel is located adjacent to the newly renovated Riverside Convention Center, and 15 miles from Ontario International Airport. Only a specific number of rooms will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Make your reservations early for the best available conference accommodations. 

Family Members
If you plan to bring family members, please be sure to reserve a single room. If more than one room is needed, please book the additional room(s) directly with the hotel and not within the CLI room block. Family members are not included in reservations for CLI meals or activities, so please plan to pay for their meals and hotel services separately. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Joe Britto

Founder of Innate Leaders and Mindset for Life, psychological coach, management consultant, writer, and keynote speaker, Joe Britto has worked with a wide range of entrepreneurs and leadership teams across the non-profit, public and private sectors. His grounding in experiential learning, along with his studies in literary theory and psychological coaching, has allowed him to create a unique methodology that has successfully facilitated sustainable results.

Joe’s passion for his work comes from a personal belief that mindset isn’t just important, it’s vital.

Innate Leaders combines mindset and management consulting in a two-stage process that helps people think differently. First, it helps participants develop the six attributes of a leadership mindset©, then works with teams to apply that new way of thinking to the real-world challenges the team or organization faces.

Mindset for Life is a seven-week program that provides an accessible and profound way for everyone to work with their mindset and lead a life that reflects who they really are.


 
Dr. Brad C. Phillips

Dr. Brad C. Phillips, president and chief executive officer of the Institute for Evidence-Based Change (IEBC), leads the organization’s focus on improving educational practice and outcomes in schools, colleges and universities. He has pioneered the collaborative collection and sharing of data across educational segments; the effective use of meaningful data; and its connection to educator use and institutional change. He is the co-author of the book Creating A Data-Informed Culture In Community Colleges, published by Harvard Education Press.

He is an IEBC Caring Campus coach, a frequent keynote speaker, author of numerous articles, and recipient of recognitions and honors. He has served as a data facilitator for Achieving the Dream; member of the Advisory Board of the Texas Student Success Center, member of the California Guided Pathways Advisory Board and is an Ambassador with the Leap of Reason national initiative.

Dr. Phillips holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University Northridge and a master’s degree in psychology from California State University Los Angeles. Prior to pursuing his doctoral degree, he worked as a therapist in community mental health. He earned his doctorate in psychology with an emphasis in research methods and statistics from Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Phillips is the founder of both the California Partnership for Achieving Student Success (Cal-PASS) and IEBC.
