Community College League of California President Larry Galizio’s Statement on the 2020-21 CEOCCC Board Election

SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, Community College League of California President and CEO Larry Galizio issued the following statement in response to the election of the 2020-2021 Chief Executive Officers of the California Community Colleges (CEOCCC) Board:

"On behalf of the League Boards and Staff, congratulations to the following campus, district and statewide leaders on their re-election as members of the CEOCCC Board.

  • Joe Wyse, Superintendent/President, Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint CCD (Area 1)
  • Lori Bennett, President, Clovis Community College (Area 3)
  • Bob Kratochvil, President, Los Medanos College (Area 5)
  • Jose Fierro, Superintendent/President, Cerritos CCD (Area 7)

CEOCCC Board members represent their colleagues by region or at-large and fulfill the important responsibility of analyzing and making recommendations on legislation and the State Budget, serving on committees, task forces, and working groups, and generally representing the district and college leadership perspective at the statewide level.

Those elected and appointed to the CEOCCC Board will begin their term on June 1, 2020. The members elected will serve 3-year terms.
