Five CCC Trustees Elected to Serve Nationally for ACCT

California Community Colleges trustees continue their tradition of national leadership with ACCT. At last week’s National Convening, two trustees were elected to serve on the 2024 ACCT Board of Directors. Deborah Ikeda (State Center CCD) was elected as the Pacific Region director and Oscar Valladares (Rio Hondo CCD) was elected as an at-large director. Nan Gomez-Heitzeberg (Kern CCD) was elected by the ACCT Board of Directors as the Pacific Regional Chair, a position most recently held by Trustee Gilbert Wong from Foothill-DeAnza CCD.

In addition, two trustees joined national committees. Jose Alcala (Riverside CCD) has been elected to serve on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and Adrienne Grey (West Valley-Mission CCD) has been selected to serve on the Pacific Regional Nominating Committee.

“I am so proud of these trustees' dedication in their districts, in California, and nationally,” said CCCT President Andra Hoffman (Los Angeles CCD). “They represent just a small population of the work our locally elected trustees do for their communities daily.”
